Hello, hello, hello!!!

Today am sharing another pretty and easy going project am doing.

Am doing a RANDOM TREASURES MEMORY BOX

The purpose of this project is to create layouts of random precious photos from our family.

I have been doing lots of layouts about our childhood but still have some loose pictures that are precious memories and don't want to just put them in a photo album.

am using this box, which will be in our living room for family and friends to take a look at them when they come to visit us:

Guess who is in the pictures?

Wonder woman? Bionic Woman? No... Luisita Morgan!!!

Yes that's me in Tijuana, México at 5 years old. This photo was taken in front of Woolworth Store (does not exist anymore of course) and I reamember I was shopping with my grandma.

Did you take a look at my sexy dress? And those super hot red shoes?

One thing I remember from this picture is that I was a very, very happy child. I loved to go shopping or window shopping with my grandma and browse the whole store!

This is a wonderful memoir and this picture is one of my treasures since I don't have many pictures of those times.

Maybe the pictures I have are not professional or the best quality but they are "the best memories from our life" and I will treasure them and treat them as what they are:

Notes about my Random Treasures Memory Box

1) I found this box at Ross (outlet store) for $9 dlls. I love the design and I will only add something related to our family to the top.

2) The size of the layout is aproximately 8x6". Is a different size for me which will help me think outside of the box.

3) The layouts am planning to create are going to be more simple and classic. I want the photos to be the star.

These photos are TREASURES for me!

Are simple and not the best quality but the best in showing love between 2 sisters who are always fighting...

On Xmas Eve day, we went to Valery's house to give her some presents and they exchanged presents among them and suddently they hug each other and they told each other: "I love you sister".

Love you very much my little ladies!!!

Now, lets move onto my project...

First let me tell you that I was inspired by Jessica's handmade gift wrap post, this one:

And here is the picture of it:

I have many stamp sets that I barely use them all. So, I thought that I could use some of them using this "random stamping technique" following Jessica's sample! And... this is my creation:

At the begining my intentions were to stamp directly in the blue cardstock base in a tone in tone technique, but then I realized that I could use my cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut this snowflakes. So, I cut them and then stamp them on white cardstock.

Next I random place them in my base cardstock and accomodate the pictures until I found the right arrangement.

I added some buttons and add a "rip off" at the right top corner and added a ribbon knott.

There you go, an easy, fast and pretty layout!

December Daily Project - Days 20-30!!!

I finally was able to print my December Daily pictures until December 30th and here are my DD pages:

12/24 Xmas photos. Since we have tons of pictures I cut baseball card protectors to accomodate 4 pictures and was able to put 16 2.5 by 3 pictures in them. Check them out:

12/27 What JOY means to me?

12/28 Empanadas! My grandma, my daughter Jaz cooked Empanadas and we wrote the recipe and took some pictures.

12/29 The best gift I received (from my daughter Jaz) my all time fave and only DESIGN PERFUM BY PAUL SEBASTIAN! Love it since I was 15 years old.

12/30 Collage of my Project 12 layouts, only missing December, which will be in another page.

That's it for now. I need to print the last pictures of my December Daily project, which runs until January 7th to include my aunt BD whish is on the 6th.

Am so glad that I finally decided to do my December Daily project. I feel so good of documenting the things "almost" as they happen. Not a thing I can do normally, but the extra effort is worth.

Well this is my project today: My Weight Loss Journal (BTW Is in Spanglish!!!)

I absolutely adore NOTEBOOK paper collection and had been saving my Level 2 Leftovers for the perfect project. And the perfect project arrived... My WL Journal!

Here are my leftovers! And am sooo lucky to have my good friend Corina, who also shared with me her Notebook paper leftovers.

This is the front page! Title reads: Loosing Weight!

First page is for my GOALS, which I break down in 2 periods!

Next page is my HOW or my Plan to accomplish my goals!

Next page is the main benefit I will get by loosing weight: BETTER HEALTH (left page).

Next page title I DON'T ACCEPT IT (right page).

In next page are my DREAMS, which finally are part of my GOALS!

I will update my journal primarily in a weekly basis when my weekly weight-ins are and will journal about how I feel, obstacles and how am working in overcoming them, successes, new recipes, etc.

I will use Notebook papers mainly, but will add some cardstock and journaling blocks from other collections that match (this is a hard one!).

The party was a huge success. We had 84% attendance and prior parties has less then 50%.

Party was from 4pm thru 8pm and we had to extended until 10:30pm.

Hello my scrappy and non scrappy friends! How was the new year start up?

For me, it has been a great start up! Why you may ask yourself? Well, I managed to accomplished a few thinks I was delaying for months, during my 10 days of vacations and due to the fact that we did not travel this year. So, this is the list of my little accomplishments that help me had a great 2011 wrap up and 2012 start-up:

1) All rooms of my house were decluttered and deeply cleaned.
2) Our Patio was full of junk and it has been decluttered and organized.
3) Had a pile of "to be filed" papers and they all were filed. Also my file folders were declutered (which did not happened in the last 5+ years).
4) Our home PC finally got maintenance (so much needed!).
5) I filed 65% of my "homeless layouts". I stopped because I need to buy 4-5 albums and tons of page protectors.
6) My SB area was declutered too. Finally!
7) Was able to set up my 2012 Booklet and planner to start up 2012 with my right foot.
8) We were able to celebrate with our family the holidays.
9) Got 80% of my December Daily project finished. Only need to print last week pictures and adhere them to the album.
10) I wrote my 2012 Resolutions and make the plan to achieve them.

But of course, being an organization junky I had to search more for articles about getting organized and found this great article from Buttoned Up.

2012 Planner and Booklet!

Hello....
Are we having some calm after the avalanche of events from December?
I am... Was lucky to enjoy vacations last week, which help me to recover from parties, do a general clean-up of our house and prepared to have an organized 2012!!!

To be organized, I need some tools and my core tool is my Planner. Last year I created my 2011 Planner from scratch. The planner included:
- Monthly Calendars
- Weekly Planner
- Blog Schedule
- Round-ups
- To Do Lists
- Challenges Tracking
- Key Information
- Phones and more!

The Planner was 1 1/2" thick and even that it was nice to have everything in one place. I decided that for 2012 I will split the Planner in two! Mainly to be able to carry my Planner with me (in my purse)!

Meet my 2012 Planner and my 2012 Booklet!!!

The first part is my 2012 Weekly Planner:

This is a comercial planner from Day Timers. It includes:
- Monthly Calendars (without tabs, that´s why I added flags with the months names)
- Weekly Planner
- Weekly Menu Plan

Second part is my 2012 Booklet!

This part was completely handmade by me.
It includes customized divisions with Tabs specially for me. (photo on the right side).
I used papers mainly from DCWV and Websters Pages for this booklet.
In the front I added ¨I CARE¨, my little word for 2012!

The size of the booklet is 8 1/2" by 11" and it´s 1/2" thick! I added 2 pockets in the front and on the back to hold papers, receipts, coupons, etc.

The Tabs I included are:
- Plans! Where I have calendars, BDs List, Crafty Productivity, 2012 Layouts Planning and Projects.
- CDL! Dedicated for my Creative Designs by Luisa crafty business.
- Scentsy! Dedicated to my brand new Scentsy business.
- CSDivas! Important part of my life.
- SB/Life Documenting! Dedicated to write ideas, projects, sketches, inspirational clippings, etc.
- Nice! Dedicated to write nice things, thoughts, ideas, dreams, wishes, etc. (non crafty).
- Blog! Dedicated for my monthly blog schedule. Having the whole year together will help me plan in advance my posts.
- Round Ups! I will continue posting my Monthly Roundups in 2012 and a good way to keep track of things is to write them in one place. Here I included a sheet for each month!
- Monthly Check-Ups! This is a new type of journaling am starting in 2012. I will write about how I feel, my health status, how was my month. As mentioned this is more like a journal.
- Life! Place to write important information, like Car Maintenance Program, Passwords, Websites, Yearly Schedule of Payments, Movies to Rent, Magazines Subscriptions.
- Notes! Blank pages to take notes.
I think (and hope) this change helps me!

2011 Recap - How was my year!

As every year end am doing my recap of "how my year was?" This exercise really helps me to checkout what went good and what needs to improve/change!

Following are my 2011 goals and in blue are the year-end results:

PERSONAL RESOLUTIONS:
As part of the excercise I wanted to do an assesment of how things were, besides the goals:

** Be healthy (is actually 3 in 1: Cook and eat balance meals and excersice 3 times per week)!
-- My health has not been as good as I wish. I have a Gal Bladder problem plus an Ovarian Tumor that it´s being under treatment.
-- Did not loose the weight needed!!! This is the area that I have been failing year after year and now it´s interfering with my health and coming surgeries.
** Enjoy my family and friends more!
-- In 2010 we re-started Family Gatherings in the second half of the year and they continued until June 2011 and they stopped due to family member disputes.
-- My friends and I organized 4 Girls Night Out and they were great. We celebrated our BDs together and we catch-up in what´s going on in our lives.

** Re-launch scrapbook business!
-- I signed-up as CTMH Consultant and been working partially on it. Having a full time job plus family commitments does not allow to do much.
** Maintain my blog and post according to schedule!
-- Think I did pretty good in 2011. Maybe 90% of achievement. Not posting on a daily basis, only 4 times per week.
** Be organized!
-- Creating my own Planner that fits my life style and all areas of it, really helped out! I love that it was custom made, but for 2012 am changing things a little bit.
** Give more to others!
-- I had the fortune to participate in the Volunteer Team at my work and participated in:
one Art Auction, Kermesse, Card Workshop and Organized a Xmas Party for Cesde and Casa Hogar Sonrisas de Angel in Tijuana, México.SCRAPBOOKING RESOLUTIONS:
** Create 156 layouts, 144 cards
-- Created 111 layouts, 169 cards, 48 tags and 2 mini albums!

** Complete P-12 with my Monthly Reviews
-- Project 12 ends in January 2011, but am within schedule!!!
** Continue with my Art Journal with prompts.
-- Completed 80% of them but not posted them, because they are getting more personal!
** Continue with my Challenge social network
-- CSDivas was created as a ning community in February 2010, unfortunately due to ning charging fees we had to switch to a blog platform instead. Current CSDivas Design Team Members are: Pam, Sandy, Jessica and Michelle!

** Attend 12 crops
-- I attended 10 crops during 2011 and a Retreat. Yay!!!
** Continue the PAPER DIET (Not buying pattern paper)!!!
-- I continue with the paper diet, except for CTMH paper collections!
** Keep my sb area clean
-- This goal was partially met, but a big improvement was made. Still need to purge my stuff...

What are the best things that happen in 2011?
JANUARY
- Karla's baby - Alexander - was born in January 3rd. I love my great nephew!
- In January I attended a 3 Day SB Retreat and it was a blast. I finished 31 layouts.
APRIL
- I changed jobs after 3 and half years and it was a great change. Love working at Parker, my boss and co-workers are great.
JUNE
- Jaz Graduation from High School. Am so proud of my baby!
JULY
- Attended CTMH Convention at Disneyland Anaheim and I had a blast with my good friends, Corina, Sandra, Yorline, Alisse and Jen. 3 Days at Disney Hotel and enjoying the company of many friends. We received tons of goodies plus got to see the new Idea Book.
- Jaz begun her intership at CONAFE as a Volunteer Instructor for Kindergarden children in poor neighborhood in Tijuana, México. She find her true passion and it´s pursuing her dream.
OCTOBER
- We finally build the living room division and was able to arrange furniture in a better and prettier way.
- Attended CTMH Leadershare in San Diego. A one Day Event full of surprises and fun.
NOVEMBER
- Signed up as Herbalife Distributor to get discount and buy Weight Loss and Health products with discount. Signed under my sister Alma, who is doing the business.
DECEMBER
- 6 Xmas Parties plus New Year Celebration (coming today!). What a great way to celebrate this awesome holiday season.
- For the first time I managed to actually create my December Daily Project. We are so excited doing it (My daughter Jaz and I)...

What are the sad /not so good / need to improve or change things that happen in 2011?
- Family monthly reunions stopped by mid year.
- I had pneumonia in February and was in bed for 2 weeks (including 4 days in the Hospital).
- I did not loose the weight I need to.
- Car was broken in June but affortunately was something that could take care of.
- Back in October I started to have severe Gastritis pains and ended up being a Gall Bladder problem.
- Also in October doctors found an ovarian tumor, which needs to be removed via surgery.

What am I going to do different in 2012 ? (aka Learnings!!!)
- I will take CARE of my Health in 2012: *follow up my surgery plans with the doctors *health check-ups *continue with the good eating habits *include ¨exercise¨ in my daily routines.
- Continue organizing and setting up ¨Mini Stations¨ and ¨Systems¨ to be more organized at work, at home and in my scrapbooking.
- A change in Family Gatherings this year is that I will be the hostess. This way I will encourage family members to get together even if they are in dispute with other family members.
- Get closer to God! I really need to work on this area.
- Sign-up with Scentsy and work hard to earn $200-$400 dlls extra per month. I really, really needed the extra cash.

What are my focus for 2011?
1) Family
2) Me (physically and spiritually)
3) Create (scrapbook) and Have Fun (enjoy friends)
4) Scentsy Business (main focus). Will continue with CTMH but as Hobbyist and will continue creating scrapbooks and paper products for others.
5) Enjoy Life and Be Happy!!!

Why I post all these information in my blog?
Because my blog is my journal also! I am printing each year in a book. It is amazing to go back and read all what happened in one year!!!

DECEMBER STAMP OF THE MONTH

It´s January 1st and am sharing January SOTM stamp set! Somehow I did not signed up on time for the monthly Blog Hop, but since I have the artwork already created I decided to post it.

Here is the stamp set:

I created this layout about ¨The Murillo´s¨!!! My sister Alma Family...

I was challenged by this stamp set. And for this layout I started backwords. Back in October my friends Sandra, Corina and I got together to create with the SOTM stamp sets in order to participate in the blog hop.

So... I created this layout, without having pictures in mind and I also stamped the Circle month and background and that was it at that time.

The layout sat in my sb desk for 2 months and last week I realized I needed to finish the layout and my ¨photo search nightmare¨ started. I dig and dig until I came out with these school and 2011 studio pictures that fit perfectly into the squares of the layout. Then I remember I had pictures of them of prior years and search for them and this is how I created this layout... which took months to be finished!

Monthly RoundUp - December 2011 & Happy New Year!!!

December was here!!! Holidays are almost over and had tons of Xmas Parties and Events. an awesome month full or Joy, Lights and Family and Friends Gatherings!
Let´s move onto this month recap:

What are the Highlights or Favorite Memoirs of this month?

* Spent Xmas and New Year Celebration at my Mom house with my sister Patty and brother Armando. We enjoy dinner, piñatas, toasts, chats, gifts opening, new year rituals and best of all love among us.
What fun things I did with my family and friends?
* Mugs Exchange at work! Amazingly 98% of co-workers participated and I was told they were reluctant to this type of events.
* Dinner with ¨The Boys¨ from my previous job. I feel so good of continue our friendship and meet every now and then to have lunch.

* Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts and Scrapbooks Etc.

What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
* Stepbrothers - Hilariosly fun!
* 7 Years in The Tibet - I never care for this movie, but there was nothing to see in the TV and decided to give it a try. Result: Love it!
* Transporter 3 - Love action movies and this was a great one!

What were my accomplishments this month?
* Finally doing my December Daily Project.
* I did finished declutering my SB area and Bedroom.
* Catch up with Project 12.

What were my disappointments this month?
* A situation with my daughter Jaz. Nothing major but a dispute. Under control now, thank God!
* Did not assigned a ¨home¨ for my ¨homeless layouts¨. They are sorted, but still need to be put inside the corresponding album!

Words to Live By - Part 2

A few months back I posted my "WORDS TO LIVE BY" Project.
It is a mini album I altered for my daughter Jazmin at her 18th BD.

Just realized that I only posted the front and 2 pages and today am sharing 6 more pages I created:
Words: FRIENDSHIP and BE BRAVE!

Words: STRENGHT and BELIEVE!

Words: SHARE and DISCOVER!

The intention of this mini album is to provide my daughter with some Words of Wisdom to follow throught her life. I did one for my oldest daughter too and Jazmin was expecting this album with excitement.

The style of the mini album is Vintage and am using mainly tags I received from my friend Lisa in a swap. She also sent me tons of odds and ends and they are finding their home in this mini.

Also, am using lots of mediums like acrylic paints, crackle paint, glimmer mists, distress ink and lots of embellishments I have been collecting...

Am very happy to be able to create something that my family cherish and love and this is an excelent case of that.

December Daily 2011 - Days 1-10

Finally... Here are my first 10 pages of my December Daily 2011 album...
Am so excited, because I wanted to do this project for the past 2 years and did not make it. Last year I even gather all the supplies I wanted to use, but did not make it.

So... Ta Da.... Here they are:

Front Page - still needs a 2011 title, but am searching for the right letters!

12/01 Gifts for "White Elephant Gift Exchange" at Bren's Unit Meeting. I forgot to take a group picture...

12/02 Admins Xmas Party! First is the group picture and the bottom one is me with my boss and a co-worker!

12/03 Xmas Tree set up. Last year we bought an artificial tree and this time we re-use it. Our collection of ball ornaments in our colors: silver, blue and pink is in the right side picture!

12/05 Our morning routines... No pictures for this one, I just typed our morning routines in pattern paper!

12/06 Office Xmas Decor! I inherit some Xmas decorations this year. The Countdown Calendar and the Snowman. The flower bouquet was a gift from a good friend.

12/07 Selfportrait. Am a firm believer of include ourself in our layouts and projects. For this album am taking selfportraits of each family member. I typed a letter describing how am doing, feeling and thinking right now... Is tuck away behind the picture!

12/08 Missing You... My cousin Lupita has been my best friend for the last 40 years! And unfortunately she moved to Baltimore and this is a letter I wrote to her, where I tell her how much I miss her and our long chats either on the phone or at our local Starbucks or going to the movies and wresting matches or having a good meal together. I really, really miss you Lupis!!!

12/09 Office Mugs Gift Exchange! I organized a mug gift exchange at work and it was sooo funny. I took this picture of the mugs all together. Am adding more pictures in a page protector!

12/10 My sister Alma Xmas Decor! My family and I are very close to my sister Alma and her family. We spend lots of time with them and we always take pictures of their Xmas tree and Xmas Decor to create LOs for their Family scrapbook album!

PS - December 4th page is not done yet, because is a Letter to Santa and my daughter want to include Williams (our pet) letter and is not done yet.

What are my thoughts about my December Daily project?

Am feeling sooooo good!
Am loving this project!
I will totally do it next year!
My daughter even suggest that we do another one in June, since is the busiest month of the year in terms of BDs for our family!

Everyday Photos - Second Xmas Party!!!

Today am so excited to share with you my second Xmas Party, with adorable friends and where we had so much fun.

This is my "gang" at Corporate offices. We have so much fun together, we make silly jokes, laugh at each other, we just have fun.

This is my good friend Sergio, we have so much fun together. He is a very funny guy and he is the kind of friend whom you can talk about anything, good things, bad things, health issues, even scrapbooking...

It was a fun party, even that since it was a Cocktail Party we had to go out to eat some dinner because we were so hungry!!!

CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop - My Stickease!

It´s mid December, we are only 9 days til Xmas... and it´s time for another awesome blog hop with fellow CTMH Consultants.

This month we are featuring our fabulous...

CTMH MY STICKEASE!!!

If you are coming from ~Laurie Flannery Blog~ you are in the right path.

For this month project am killing 2 birds at a time. I decided to do my Project 12 Layout for October AND used DREAMIN Collection plus DREAMIN MY STICKEASE...
Here is my layout:

If you are not familiar with Project 12, the idea is simply document the happenings of the month in one layout. I try to incorporate "everyday photos" as well as events or things I think are relevant for the month.
For My October monthly review layout I included a picture of me and the Leadershare sign from our Leadershare in San Diego las October 15th, also a picture of my friend Corina on her BD celebration, Alexander in his pajamas and William (our pet) with his Witch Hat in Halloween. I did not took many pictures during October and lot less in September (lol...)

Here are some close-ups of the "clusters" I created using my stickeases:

For the Title I used this "artisan label" plus the "heart" I sponge distress them with chocolate inkpad.

I used a horizontal journaling blog to write my journaling and I created another cluster, which includes the main circle with leaves, another heart and 2 flowers.

The best part is that it was so easy and fast to create this layout, it took me 20 minutes to finish it.
Am not into using lots of stickers anymore, but with coordinated stickers, like our My Stickease, which match perfectly with our collections, is so easy and the results are great.
Think of My Stickeases, when you are:
1) Short on time,
2) Need to finish lots of pages,
3) Want to create an easy but fabulous layouts
4) When you are creating a theme album as a gift.

Last October, I showed this layout showcasing how to use our Re-Inkers, I posted without photos, and here it is with photos:
I used TYPESET paper Collection.
As I mentioned in September I took few photos, but Alexander's photos are a must and here he is playing with his truck.

I just re-discovered Google Reader!!!

Can you believe I just re-discover Google Reader!

I always suscribe to Google Reader updates for blog I like and that was it...

Today I wanted to take a look at what blogs am following with Google Reader and discover how many of my friends keep update on the blog they follow. It is so easy with Google Reader, you get all the latest posts from the blogs you follow in an easy reading way. It took me 10 minutes to take a quick look to the ones I like.

I opened the ones I want to check or leave a comment in another "window". Once I finished I just went and look at the different windows and read them. I left comments in the ones I needed to and voila. In like 15 minutes I was done.

Maybe you already do this! Are you? do you have any other tip you can share with me?

This is an awesome way to get a lot of your Christmas cards and scrapbook layouts finished, home decorations completed,and maybe even be inspired to create something using a new technique that you have never tried.

Let me share my project with you Divas:

I was inspired by a Pinterest pin and decided to give it a try.

It's a Candy Cane Wreath!!!

This project is: Easy, Fast and Cheap (my fave 3 words for a project, lol)...

Supplies needed:
1) 1 1/2 of Candy Cane (got them at Dollar store)
2) Glue Gun and glue sticks
3) Cardstock
4) Snowflake, pointsettia or another embellishment (bigger then 3" of diameter)
5) Ribbon

Step 1) Get rid of the wrapping ends! I learned this the bad way. Do it first thing please!

Step 2) Add two candy canes, forming a heart shape and glue them together. I did 8 of them...

Step 3) Adhere the hearts together using your glue gun. If like me you end up with half a heart space, just add one candy cane.

Step 4) Cut a circle from thick cardstock or cardboard for support. Cut it at least of 3" or larger.

Setep 5) Add the embellishment of your choice. I added this red snowflake ornament, but think a white pointsettia or a bouquet of small pointsettias will look good also.

Lastly, tie a bow on one side and hang it. (My picture with the bow was somehow deleted, sorry!)

Hope you like this easy, cheap and fast project Divas!!!

Oh, and last night my daughter and I embellished 12 pillar candles to give as neighbor gifts this year.

They are so easy to decorate them:

We just cut 2 strips of paper (we did not measure, we just wrapped the paper around the candle!) One strip was 3" and the other one 2 1/4" plus a strip of ribbon.

Then we wrapped the 3" strip, next the 2 1/4" strip, then the ribbon.

Using the same ribbon (or you can use another one that matches), create a bow and adhered it to the candle. Add an embellishment to the middle of the bow and voila...

Another fast, easy and cheap project!!!

Today am sharing a great way to use digital images/stamps to create an awesome card.

First, let me tell you that this image:

Is from our awesome Sponsor "Delicious Doodles" and the image name is "Westie with Present", which Teri was kind enough to give it to CSDivas DT's for free. Thanks Teri!!!

Since the first minute I saw this image I was inlove with it, since Westie looks like my adorable William (our pet).
I printed the image in 2 sizes, one small and another a little bigger. The small one was used in this card and the bigger one will be used in a William LO.

I normally use sketches to do cards or I scraplift a card that appealed to me. This time, I started with the image in mind and trying to mimic William sat down below our Xmas tree in front of the living room window. And this is what I came with:

First, I colored Westie. I don't have many markers and since William is white I used this tan color instead. For the present I used different colors to color the dots.

The green columns represent my window panes. I trim them in different sizes, just to add this funny effect.

For the Xmas treee, I used Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and then I search into my stash of loose ribbon and found this one, which is white with a gold trim. Then added some bling bling as lights and ornaments and finally an snowflake brad serves as the Xmas Tree star.

Creating this card was easy and fun...

My December Daily 2011 Project!!!

I did it! Yes I decided to do a December Daily project this year. Last year I had all the best intentions but fail to do it.

This year, I did not think about it too much. I decided to just jump into it and here are the steps I have follow so far and my plan:

Step 1) Gather Supplies!!!

With so many papers to choose from, I thought it was going to be very hard to choose. But then I found this CTMH collection: Wonderland! Which showcases the colors: Teal, Cranberry, Cocoa and White and I pick it immediately. Then I went and grab every paper that matched.

Also, I went and grab lots of embellishments that I have been collecting from swaps, that i have sorted by theme in ziplock bags.

Next, I had to choose a binder and I had three options: 1) 8 1/2 x 11 regular binder; 2) An 8x8 American Crafts Album and 3) An Avon Binder that is 8 1/2 x 6".

I decided for option number 3, since I have this Avon Binder for years waiting to be altered and finally it's time came.

Step 2) Make a Plan!!!
Make Plan for pictures to take each day of the month. Original December Daily is for 25 or 31 days. I decided to make it 38 days, since my Aunt Hilda BD is on January 6 and on January 7th we pack the Xmas Decorations and I wanted to include both events in this album.

Therefore, I created an spreadsheet with the dates from December 1st thru january 7th. I added a column for "Events", "Photo ideas" and "Actions".

In the Events, I typed all events I already have scheduled, like Xmas Parties, Crops, etc.
In the Photo Ideas, I typed the photo ideas that came to my mind based on a) the Events for each day and b) for dates with no events, I typed what I wanted to include in each date, like Family Members Portraits, Santa Letters, Home Decor, Xmas Shopping, Gift Wrapping Session, Xmas Tree Set-up, 2012 Goals, 2011 Recap, Love is..., Joy is..., Crop Group picture, Preparing Xmas Dinner, etc.

In the Actions, I typed what specific action I needed to do, like take photos, type, add wrapping paper, use flip-flaps, make a collage with pictures, etc.

This step has been a great help, since I know exactly what I need to do and that way I don't forget and if I do forget, I have my cheat sheet available with me all the times.
Step 3) Type as Needed
Doing this step, really helped me. I type everything in different pattern papers and now I have my journaling for 7 days, which is amazing.

Step 4) Embellish Binder!!!
This was fun. I choose which papers I wante to use to alter my binder and cover it using modge podge. Then I cut the numbers 2011 with my cricut and added some stickers and December word with alpha stickers. This is how the front looks!!!

This is the side of the binder. I added some brown tulle and matching ribbons!

Step 5) Prepare Pages!!!
Following Ally Edwards advise, I decided to prepare my album inner pages and pre-embellish some of them. Knowing what they are going to be about make it easier.

I love my binder. Love the color combination I choose. Love that am using lots of different embellishments and that I am preserving our memories in a very special album.

Will continue to post my December Daily pages on a weekly basis!!!

Lot's of Events, To Do's are coming, but for now, lets get to do our November recap...

What are the Highlights or Favorite Memoirs of this month?

* My Gastritis health problem is under control now. Thank God!
* We had a "kermesse" at my work to fundraise money for CESDI, a Mexican association which helps kids with special needs. I was in charge of the Nacho's stand and they were a success!
What fun things I did with my family and friends?
* My mom and I went shopping. Just her and i and it was fun to have this Mom and Daughter date. We chat about lots of things and had fun!
* GNO with my friends Alicia and Mireya. We wnet to Guiseppi's Italian Restaurant in Tijuana, México and we had so much fun. 4 hours of nice chatting...

What books, magazines and or websites I read/visit this month?
* Creating Keepsakes
* Paper Crafts
* Scrapbooks Etc.

What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
* None

What were my accomplishments this month?
* Not much crafty projects done this month.

What were my disappointments this month?
* Family disputes stopped our Monthly Family reunions, which makes me so sad. Will work on it...

November was the "take care of me" month! I realized one more time that I need to decrease my expectations of things I want to accomplish. Need to take care of my health better.

12 Days of Xmas CSDivas Blog Hop - Day 4

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

DAY 4

Now, if you just stumbled upon this hop, you are in the right place to start from the beginning. There will be one project posted each day and each day will be hosted by a different Diva DT member.

There will be a wide array of projects, and of course, some fabulous Blog Candy along the way.

My project today is a banner. I need to let you know that this banner was designed by CTMH Consultant Joanne Walton and presented at our last Leadershare meeting. I love it so much, that immediately thought in sharing it in our Blog Hop.

We used CTMH Products and I will share the list with you, but this is a project you can do with things I know you have on hand.

Materials needed:

- 3 Pennants (from CTMH or you can cut them from chipboard or even cereal boxes!!!)

- Pattern Paper - 2-3 different ones that match.

- Scraps of ribbon and tulle

- 3 snowflakes in white and their background base in contrasting color, we used Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.

- Word JOY diecuts, again we used Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.

- Bling buttons

- Stamped and trimmed leaf.

- Waxy flax or embroidery floss in a color that match your papers.

Instructions:

1. Cut two 1¨ stripes from one of you pattern papers. These are for the red plaid trim on top of each pennant.

2. On another pattern paper, trace the three pennant shapes and cut out.

3. Attached the pattern paper to the pennants.

4. If you like to distress your projects, this is the time to do it.

5. Cut 3 borders using a border punch and adhere theme to the pennant.

6. Add stickles to the white snowflakes and let them dry. Once they are dry adhere them to their background base.

7. Adhere snowflakes using foam tape.

8. If you have not distress the letters, you can do it now.

9. Adhere letters with foam tape.

10. Attached leaves to letters with foam tape.

11. Thread wazy flax or embroidery floss to the bling buttons and tie a knot.

12. Atthached the button with strong adhesive to the leaves.

13. attached the rings (you can use ribbon too) to create banner.

14. Tie the ribbon and tulle at your wish.

15. There you go... Admire your Joy Banner!!!

Sharing Friday - 3D Items with Art Philosophy

Today I want to share with you this awesome 3D items - All of them were made using the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.

These products were part of the projects we did at Leadershare and we used Sonoma Paper Collection.

The box, the flower, the frame and labels, where all cut with Art Philosophy cartridge.

2) FAVOR BOX

The box and circle scallop were cutted with Art Philosophy!

3) PILLOW BOX

The pillow box, labels and flower were cut using Art Philosophy!

P-12 Year End Challenge at CSDivas hosted by Me!!!

Hello my friends!

Today I want to share an amazing challenge am hosting at the CSDivas Mansion!
Year End Project 12 CSDivas Challenge!!!

Challenge Rules:

The challenge is to UPLOAD YOUR PROJECT 12 LAYOUTS TO OUR "CSDIVAS FACEBOOK PAGE" no later then January 20th, 2012. (That's plenty of time to catch up Divas).

Layouts must be a "month in review" style! The idea is to "capture the month happenings/events/highlights" in one layout.

Use of the sketches (provided below) is optional. You can use a calendar grid as one page of your 2 page layout. if the sketch does not work for you or ir you like to create in a more "free style" go for it or grab another sketch that appeals more to you! The sketches are meant to be an aid not a burden.

Here is how to play and the chance to win some goodies:
- First ticket will be for the first 3 layouts you upload.
- One extra ticket will be earned for every extra layout you upload.
- Last day to upload your layouts is January 20th, 2012.
- Winner will be announced on January 25th, 2012.
- We need at least 3 (non CSDivas DT) participants for this challenge!

Everyday life - William in Halloween!

Hi there!

Today am sharing some more photos of the cutest and adorable dog/baby in the world:

OUR ADORABLE WILLIAM....

He loves to go outside. And as soon as we tell him "vamonos" (let's go in Spanish) he start jumping at the door.

Then of course he is the first one to get in the car and in the drivers seat of course, since he knows that is "mama's seat".

Loot at him, isn't he the cuteds?

He is wearing his Witch Hat because of halloween. It's kind of "ripped off" but is ok is a custome.

Here waiting for everybody to hop in the car, so we can leave!

And finally, giving me his "mommy can I drive with you" look!

Yes am crazy about our William, but is not only me.

Grammy gets crazy if we are not at home at 5pm to feed him. She wakes up every morning at 6am to feed him also! If she does not see him for a few hours she starts crying and she things that if he is outside too much, he will get sick of "something".

My daughter Jaz, walks him everyday, except when it's raining, that instead they go up and down the stair 5-6 times to excercise him. She boughts clothes and toys for him, even that she is a "money concious" girl.

This is our William and we love him!!!

It´s mid month and it´s time for another awesome blog hop with fellow CTMH Consultants.

This month we are featuring our amazing...

CTMH EMBOSSING POWDERS!!!

Well, here is my project using our great embosing powders. I created a card. This card was designed thinking on a male friend who every year orders me 24 Xmas cards and he likes simple, chic and manly! Boy I struggle every year. And this is what I designed for him:
BELIEVE CARD!!!

Something I need to tell you is that am kind of new to embossing. Yes I have lots of powders in my fave and popular colors and I love the technique, but am more of a fast crafter.

In my BELIEVE Card I used 3 differente techniques for embossing:

1) I used Outdoor Denim inkpad and embossing powder for the tree and this is the result. The result a deep blue rough finish. I loved the triple tone in tone approach here!

2) For the BELIEVE word I stamped the word in Outdoor Denim and used Silver embossing powder! The result a more "camouflage" surface. You can see the blue and some spaces with silver. Love it!

3) For the star, I used versamark clear embossing ink and Silver embossing powder. The result a more shiny surface:

This is my simple, chic and manly Xmas card!

Everyday Life - Corina´s BD

I mentioned in my monthly round-up that we got together to celebrate our friend Corina´s BD. Well here are some pictures of the celebration.

Sandra with the ¨George Clooney¨cake she baked! It was so yummy!!!

And here is our adorable Corina her cake and her 21 candles!!!

We had so much fun...

Then we had lunch (pizza and spinach salad)

Sharing Friday - Strawberry Shortcake by Jaz

This time am so proud to present my dear daughter pre-school project.

She created this awesome Strawberry Shortcake drawing and decorated herself.

It´s a box that hold her students projects and she spend quite a few hours doing it.

She made this curly lines with tissue paper to decorate the dress:

And she used pasta to decorate the strawberry:

Isn´t she so creative! Of course this is her mom speaking!!!

To my daughter:

Am so proud of you Jaz. Not just for being creative but for all the passion you are putting to your pre-school group and for proving me that you can be responsible and follow your dreams until you achieve them!

October was here and is gone now... and we are getting closer to Xmas? October has been a month of not so good news but above all I know God is taking care of us!Here is the October recap...

What are the Highlights or Favorite Memoirs of this month?

* Got a medical diagnosis of a tumor in the uterus and being under observation for best treatment.
* CTMH Leadershare Meeting, which was in San Diego and we make awesome projects plus the chance to crop with my adorable friends Corina, Sandra, Alisse and Yorline!

What fun things I did with my family and friends?
* Celebrated my dear friend Corina´s BD with a crop, lunch, cake, movies and having Margarita´s at Chilli´s.

What books, magazines and or websites I read/visit this month?
* Creating Keepsakes
* Paper Crafts

What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
* Beyond the Blackboard
* Money Game with Brad Pitt
* All the Pretty Horses with Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz

What were my accomplishments this month?
* Used my cricut machine to help my daughter Jaz with her pre-school projects.
* 6 layouts
* 3 Xmas gifts

What were my disappointments this month?
* Not being able to achieve more things from my growing to do list.
* I neglected my blog and CSDivas blog this month due to sickness and workload.
* Family disputes which stopped our monthly family reunions.

October was not as busy as other months, but due to work projects, like Audits, Convention, and new projects plus being sick a couple of days kept me away from creating as much as I wish. Am very optimistic and putting myself in God hands as always. I know the diagnosis of a tumor is always scary but God is giving me the strenght needed. Plus I have my family and my great friends to support me!!!

CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!!

Am soooooo excited to be part of this blog hop for the first time. My friends Sandra, Corina and I have been wanting to participate and finally here I am...

This month we are featuring the stamp S1111 CHERISH THE DAY!!!

And here is the card I created with this awesome stamp set.

It´s a Joyfold card that I will use to give to my co-workers on Thanksgiving Day!

I used typeset paper collection for this card, a star from milepost shapes, one designer brad and stars from the Dimensional Elements chipboard shapes. All products are CTMH (of course!).

A Joyfold card is basically 2 cards, one smaller then the other, facing each other! Here is another angle of the card, where you can see how they are facing each other:

And this is the inside of the card:

I love making Joyfold Cards because they are easy to create and they offer tons of possibilities, plus they look more complicated to create then they are!

Missing in Action - But Am Back!!!

Hi my friends...

Am just writing to apologyze for being MIA (missing in action) over the last week. Last week was a little sick and was in the ER for a day. The diagnose a Tumor in the Uterus! Am being treated and possibly will have to go thru surgery but for the moment am under treatment.

Affortunately the pain is controlled and due to the type of tumor I will suffer pain only once per month and I have medication to take care of it.

Good news is that my Gastritis treatment is working wonderful and that´s awesome! Thanks God!!!

Besides that I have been kind of busy at work with Audits, new projects and a Convention to attend.

I think I will be able to keep my weekly schedule again and my new blog schedule will be to post 4 days per week, trying that those 4 days to be: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday!

Thanks to all who emailed or called me, asking if everything was ok or for my health! I appreciated very much and I know am in good hands since am in GOD hands!!!

Sharing Friday - Leadershare Frame!!!

Today is Friday! TGIF!!!

Well today I want to share a very special gift I received at CTMH Leadershare meeting from my upline Gail.

She gave each of the members of her Unit one of this frames personalized to match our fave colors and or CTMH paper collections.

Mine is featuring Dreamin papers and blue buttons in various shades! Here is this piece of artwork:

We totally love them! Corina got a black and white one, Alisse got a pink one, Sandra got one in greens, etc.

The size of the frame is 6x6 and it will sit right on my sb area on a shelf I will assign to display artwork!

CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop - Re-Inkers!

If you are coming from NIKKA GEERS blog, you are in the right track!

Well, let me start by telling you that I only have one color of re-inker (blush), but my friend Corina has almost all colors and she was so kind in letting me use them for this challenge.

Since I was at Corina's house I needed to finish my project at her house and decided to alter my cardstock to create a funny background paper.

What I did is I diluted re-inkers in Tulip and Juniper in mist pens with water and randomly spritz on Colonial White cardstock.

And this is what I came with:

Since I was behind in finishing my August monthly review layout (Project 12), I decided to use "my piece of art" as the base for my layout. And used Typeset papers!

This technique is a very easy and fast one. I love the end-result and how it adds a touch of color to plain cardstock!

Sharing Friday - Projects for Swaps!!!

It's Friday... And it's time to share projects!!!

This week am sharing swap projects...

First, we have this CTMH Wonderland paper Tag! I cut 2 tags using CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge in 2 diffferent sizes and 2 different types of snowflakes. Love these rhinestone buttons!

And next we have this Happy BD card using Dreamin papers. The heart, label, star and label behind the square label were cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge as well.

This 2 projects were for an Art Philosophy cartridge swap and it was mandatory to use the cartridge and the stamp sets that come with the cartridge.

It's amazing how this new cartridge help me to play more with my cricut machine!
