CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop - All about Techniques!!!

Last month, I was not able to participate in the fabulous Close to my Heart Spotlight Blog Hop due to my Pneumonia.  But affortunately am healthy now (still taking care of myself of course - in case my doctor reads this post, lol) and ready to play!

If you are in my blog for the first time, my name is Luisa Morgan and I WELCOME you! Please take a moment to suscribe to get my blog updates via RSS feeds, you will find the suscribe box on the right sidebar as well as the Follower Button and also my CDL Newsletter, which goes lives monthly!

If you are coming from ADELINE'S BLOG you are in the right track.  The blog hop begins at WENDY'S BLOG!!!

This month, it's all about TECHNIQUES!!!  And am sharing with you how to use Flock powders!
Are you like me?  I bought a bunch of Flock powders, just because I read about them in a magazine and thought they were cool.  They been there for more then a year now.  Now that am a CTMH Consultant I decided I will force myself to use the products we sell and this is one of them and what better time to try a new technique then now.

This is my Dream Card created for the hop using Fun Flock:
Inside Card - Since this card is for my daughter Val, I decided to include this pretty sentiment in the inside.

Now, let's talk a little about Fun Flock. CTMH sells Fun Flock in white color, which at the begining I thought it was an issue.  But then my awesome Gail and creative upline (as well as Jeannette Lynton - CTMH Founder), shared this tip with us at her last workshop:  We can color Fun Flock with our re-inkers and spray pens!!!  (light bulb here!!! lol) And to be honest, when I bought my 2 first packs I was looking only for black, blue and pink and had to buy the whole 2 packs.

Coloring Fun Flock Tutorial
Materials:

- Ziplock bag (snack size is fine)
- CTMH Re-inker in the color you want/need
- CTMH Spray Pen (filled 3/4 with water and re-inker of your choice - as much as you wish)
- CTMH Fun Flock in white

Coloring Fun Flock - the process:
1) Simply put some Fun Flock in the Ziplock bag and spray with your spray pen until you get the shade you are looking for.
2) Let it dry.  Preferrably overnight!

To use Fun Flock is very easy too.  You will need:

- CTMH Fun Flock (colored to your match your project)
- Stamp Set
- My Acrylix Ink Pad in the color of your choice
- CTMH Bonding Memories Adhesive Pen.

Fun Flock Process:
1) Stamp the image from your My Acrylix Stamp Set
2) Using Bonding Memories adhesive pen , apply adhesive  in your stamped image, where you want  the flock.

3) Using yur finger, press the Flock to be sure is sticking well.

You will get something like this:

BTW:  I used white flocking with tulip ink pad, because I stamped my card flower at Gail's workshop last Saturday.  You need to let Fun Flock to dry completely (overnight will be perfect).

Since you got your CTMH Spray Pen, filled with the color of your project already, why don't use it to add some mist to some of your cardstock!
This is the circle I used for my card...

Hope you liked my project and mini tutorials.
Now it's time to hop to NIKKA'S BLOG to see her wonderful creation.

Enjoy Life and Be Happy... and scrapbook about it!!!

Lovely card! I've never used Fun Flock. Maybe I'm going to have to soon.

I didn't know the fun flock could be colored. I'm so excited to find this out. I'll definitely have to try my hand at it. By the way, your card is beautiful...with or without flocking.
